DROWNED

Delhi, December 20.
The steamer Nansingh, one of the Irrawaddy flotilla, foundered between Moulmein and Rangood. The Indian crew were rescued, but both the European officers were drowned. While giving orders regarding rescue measures, Captain Goad, the principal port officer, fell overboard from a sampan. His body has not been recovered.
