CASH ORDER TRADING INQUIRY
In reply to an inquiry yesterday as to his intentions regarding tlie commission proposed to be set up to inquire into the cash order trading system, the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Hon. J. G. Cobbe) stated that he had noted from the files that the previous Government had publicly announced that it had decided to make full investigation into the matter aud report as to any legislatiye or other action which might be considered necessary.
In view of this definite commitment, Mr. Cobbe stated that he felt it his duty to go on with the inquiry and shortly after the holidays he would make a further announcement, both as to the personnel of the Commission and as to the order of reference.
