TEAMS FOR TO-MORROW The following team will represent Midland iu the senior competition game tomorrow against Old Boys at the Basin Reserve: —-Roberts, ■ Doneghue. Bruce, Grant, Baker, Lawton, Robertson, J. Hutchings, Clarke, Judd, and Hester. The following is the senior team to represent the Hutt Club on Saturday:— McGifr, Aldersley, Watson, Beard. Nunn. Biggar, Lees, Ross, Warncs, Williams, Birch. Emergency: McKenzie, A junior match, touring team versus the rest, will be played, the team to be selected on the ground. TEAM FOR GISBORNE. Kilbirnie, at Kilbirnie, W. Toomath and L. T. Lambert. AUCKLAND - NAPIER SCHOOLS MATCH By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, December 20. The first elevens of the Auckland. Grammar School and the Napier Boys’ High School commenced a cricket match at Napier this morning unes ideal conditions. The visitors took first strike and occupied the crease till 5 p.m. in making 170. The Napier bowling was treated with great respect by all the visitors except Whitelaw, the Auckland representative. The first five wickets fell for 94, but the sixth wicket added fifty-one. When stumps were drawn, Napier had lost two wickets for 39. Whitelaw and Clapham topped the visitors’ score with 43 each. MacCormick (26) and Dixon (17) being the only other double-figure scorers.
