END OF SCHOOL YEAR

SOUTH WELLINGTON “BREAKUP.” At the “break-up” ceremony of the South Wellington School, which was held in the school hall, the chairman of the School Committee. Mr. C. W. J. Collyer, presided. Several items were rendered by the scholars. Mr. R. McKeen, M.P., addressed the parents, and in congratulating the school on the year’s work stressed the pressing needs of the primary schools. Mr. McKeen presented the proficiency certificates, Mrs. McKeen the sports certificates, Mrs. Collyer the sports trophies, and the chairman the dux medal. On behalf of the School Committee, Mr. McKeen presented Mr. Finlayson with a framed photograph of the football team, • Mr. Simpson with one of the hockey team. He also banded one photograph of each to the headmaster to place in the school.
