WANGANUI RIVER SERVICE
NEW COMPANY FORMED. In view of the anxiety expressed some months ago by riverside settlers regarding the rumoured cessation of the Wanganui River steamer service, a recent company registration is of unusual interest. A private company, known as Wanganui River Services Ltd., has been registered, having for its objects the purchase as a going concern of, the riverboats, premises, plant, etc., connected with the business of shipowners, carriers of passengers and cargo, and mail contractors, hitherto carried on by A. Hatrick and Co.. Ltd., of Wanganui. The capital of the new company is £30,000 in £1 shares. The subscribers are Mr. Ronald Stevenson Hatrick, 29,990 shares, and Mrs. Grace Hatrick, one share.
