RESULTS OF‘RECENT CENSUS. A census of stocks of flour, wheat and oats in the Dominion was taken as at November 30 last by the Government Statistician. Returns received covered ail stocks owned or stored by millers, merchants, and farmers,' with a few unimportant exceptions which would not appreciably affect the totals. The total quantity of flour was shown as 11,357 tons, compared with 10,123 tons for the corresponding period last year. Milling wheat totalled 2,653,591 bushels, as against 1,323,473 bushels in 1927; while wheat other than milling was represented by 380.895 bushels (162,414 bushels in 1927). The estimated quantity of wheat in stuck was 34,757 bushels (12,198 bushels in 1927). Oats in grain totalled 1.388.160 bushels, compared with 1.229,640 bushels in November, 1927. Tile estimated quantity in stack was 69.854 bushels (155.737 bushels) for thrashing and 49.965 tons (69,578 tons) for chaffing.
