A request that free carrlge on the railways should be arranged for men employed on relief works w»j desire to visit their homes at Christinas was made to the Minister of Labour by Mr. W. E. Parry, M.P. for Auckland Central. The Hon. W. A. Veitch telegraphed today that the mutter had received consideration. but it was regretted that It had not been possible to arrange for the concession requested.
