A NEW ZEALAND VISIT UNSUCCESSFUL NEGOTIATIONS Dominion Special Service. Christchurch. December 18. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council to-night, it was reported that an effort had been made to get six or seven players of the M.C.C. team at present in Australia to come to New Zealand after the fifth Test match at. Adelaide in March. The idea had been to reinforce these players with .Tupn and Fender, who are engaged in journalistic .work on the tour, toegther with the English professionals now domiciled in the Dominion, and. play such a fenin in matches against a New Zealand side. The M.C.C. officials, however, had intimated that the players could nnt be spared to visit New Zealand, as they would have to go on with the rest of the team to Western Australia.
