The guests of honour for tbe evening when the prizes actually were presented were the Right Hon. and Mrs. J. G. Coates, who were accorded an enthusiastic reception. They arrived at Marton by the afternoon express and were welcomed at the station by prominent Reformers, including Messrs. R. E. Beckett and F. R. H. Brice. Short speeches of welcome were delivered, and a feature of Mr. Coates’s reply was his commendable sportsmanship and cheery optimism.
