ARAPUNI DAM
MINISTER INVESTIGATING (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dannevirke, December 17. Au investigation of the pre-election allegation concerning the safety of the Arapuni dam is being undertaken by the Alinister of Public Works (the Hon. E. A. Ransom), who, if he considers it warranted, will have a Royal Commission set up. He also proposes to investigate the possibility of engaging unemployed in clearing some of the pumice lands with a view to it being cut up for later settlement.
