TECHNICAL COLLEGE
MEETING OF BOARD OF GOVERNORS
The Board of Governors of the Technical College met last night, the chairman (Mr. W. H. Bennett) presiding. Letters protesting against the proposed increase in fees to evening students attending technical colleges, were received from the furniture trade, the electrical trade, carpenters’ and joiners’, and engineers’ apprenticeship committees. The board decided to forward the protests to the Minister of Education and the Education Department. Mr. T. Ballinger wrote, resigning his position as board’s representative on the plumbing advisory committee, and Mr. G. D. Dick was elected to take Mr. Ballinger's place on the committee.
