An indication of the pressure of Supreme Court work in Auckland at present was given when Mr. Justice Frazer was hearing a salesman’s claim for commission from a building firm. The hearing went on past the usual time for adjournment, and His Honour drew counsel's attention to the fact that he could not continue the next day nor on any other day prior to Christmas (reports the ‘‘Herald”). “If you don't finish to-day you cannot come on again before the vacation,” said His Honour, "ami after that, goodness knows where 1 may be.” Mr. Beekerleg, representing plaintiff. indicated that he did not wish to wonry His Honour, but was promptly reassured. “Never mind me, I’m used to being wearied,” His Honour snid with a smile. Counsel took full advantage of the latitude, and the case was continued to a finish.
