SYDNEY WOOL SALES

MARKET VERY FIRM. (Rec. December 17, 11.45 p.m.) Sydney, December 17. The wool sales were resumed to-day. The demand for free, well-grown wools was well maintained. Lines showing special fineness were keenly competed for, principally by the French. The market generally was very firm at the closing rates of last series. Greasy merino sold to 40d. per lb.
