PALMERSTON NORTH DWELLING GUTTED. Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North. December 14. At 2.30 this morning the Palmerston North Central Fire Brigade received a call to a five-roomed house in Grey Street, the property of Mr. A. Isaacs mid occupied by Mr. C. 11. Clifford. The alarm was given by Mr. G. Marshall, who resided in the adjoining house, but. the brigade did not arrive until the building, which was mi old wooden one. was ablaze, and extensive damage was done, despite the brigade's efforts to quell the flames. 'Pho contents wore insured for £l5O, and the house for £250. but neither sum covers the amount of damage done.
