POLICE CASES. Police cases in the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday were dealt with by Mr. E. Page, S.M. Arthur Brice, alias Brace, alias Wilson, aged 37, was fined £2, iu default seven days’ imprisonment, for a fourth offences of drunkenness. For his second offence of drunkenness, Thomas Alexander Walker, a labourer, aged 46, was fined 10s., in default 48 hours’ imprisonment. George Lawson, alias Gilbert Simpson, alias Lennox, a labourer, aged 22, who was charged with failing to comply with the terms of his release on probation, was sentenced to fourteen days’ imprisonment, the sentence to be concurrent with a term at present being served.
