The cyclone developed a secondary centre N ° rth Island. Barometers have risen considerably in the south. . x north of New Plymouth and Moderate to strong soutli-westeii y easterlies elsewhere, and reaching Napier. Moderate to strong Cook Strait. Seas heavy between gale force in elsewhere rather rough to rough. Moderate Akaroa and Castlepoint, south-east winds and rather rough but sea and swell moderating. Weather still cold and squally, with heavy sh °"'® r ® d and in Central’ but mainly fine on the West Coast oi tne ouu u Otago.
