NEW YORK’S TALLEST SKYSCRAPER

BUILDING OF 68 STORIES The Grand Central zone of New York is to have a new skyscraper which will be the highest building in the city, overtopping the Wool worth Building down town by 16ft. It will be 808 ft. high, and will consist of 08 stories. The ground floor will be given up to shops and an arcade, and all other stories, except two high up in the tower, to offices. These two will make up a duplex living apartment for Mr. Walter P. Chrysler, president of the Chrysler Motor Corporation, of Detroit, for whom the building will be erected.

Workmen began clearing tlie site on Lexington Avenue from Forty-second and Forty-third Streets, opposite the Grand Central Terminal, a few weeks ago, and the building will be completed in May, 1930. it is to cost, with a GO-year leasehold for laud, £2,800.000.
