POLICE AND SUMMONS CASES Police and summons eases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday were heard before Mr. E. Page, S.M. Percival Edmonds, a labourer, aged 44, who had a list of five previous convictions. was fined 10s. for being drunk, and £1 for easting offensive matter in a public place, in default seven days’ imprisonment. Charles Edward Thomas admitted the theft of £l, the property of Frederick R. Pickering. Sub-Inspector Lander-said that the mopey was stolen from a roommate, during the latter’s absence. Restitution had been made. Defendant, added the Sub-Inspector, was at. present out on license from the Borstgl Institute. He was re-committed to the institute for two years. SUMMONS CASES. He was convicted and discharged for delivering possession of t|ie firearm without a vermit. Failure to close his shop on the statutory half-holiday cost Joseph Golston Frost £2, and costs.
