One of the many amusing scenes in “The Girl Friend,” the latest J. C. Williamson musical comedy success to be sent to New Zealand, together with another fast-moving musical comedy “Hit the Deck.” This specially-chosen J.C.W. company, which includes Annie Croft, "Reginald Sharland, Leo Franklyn (famous artists from London), Gus Bluett, Billie Lockwood, May Beatty, and many other Williamson favourites, will open its Wellington season at the Grand Opera House on Boxing Night (December 26).
