. GENERAL. ASSEMBLY By Telegraph.—Press • Association. Auckland, November 26. The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New. Zealand continued its sessions to-day. ' The morning was devoted to the report of the board of education, Which emphasised that the Church's colleges •were fulfilling an important function in the life of the Dominion. The burden of debt upon the college-boards was till hea and the committee suggested that the Church should raise a substantial endowment fund for the relief of the col’.rges. The report and the recommendations were adopted. The debate was resumed on the proposal that a genera] secretary should be appointed and that his office should be combined with that of home mission superintendent. After a lengthy discussion the proposal was rejected. A large missionary demonstration was held in the Town Hall to-night.
