VALUABLE PICTURES
ELABORATE PRECAUTIONS DURING REMOVAL (Australian Press Association.) London, November 25. Armed men well concealed in a specially-constructed motor-van are leaving London to collect five millions’ worth of pictures from public galleries and private collections in England and Scotland for an exhibition of Dutch masters at Burlington House In January. The motor-van is fitted with special springs and a padded case for each of three hundred pictures. There will be armed guards, including the local police, day and night.
