A rather curious incident occurred in a cricket match between Granity and Westport Technical School (states the “Westport Times”). Smith, the Buller representative, sent a hard ball in the direction of Curtis, the school six-footer. Curtis failed to take the ball, which struck him on the chest and knocked him over.
