NEW SOURCE OF PROFIT FROM COAL

A new sphere of industrial activity will be opened in this country, by the introduction of “L. and N.” processes of coal distillation which enable all waste slack coals to be converted into motor spirit, lubricating oils, kerosene and kindred products and smokeless fuel.' • „ " j. This will mean that New Zealand s large deposits of brown and subbituminous coals, shale and accumulated slack coal will be made to yield handsome profits. Furthermore, large sums of money which are annually sent overseas for"the above products can be retained for the economic betterment of the Dominion. , A New Zealand Company, L. and N."
