"If they had a knowledge of business, a sense "of responsibility, and respect for law and order they would not act as they are doing. They cannot get their own way, and so they resign.” This statement was made by Mr. J. Boddie at this morning’s meeting of the Auckland Education Board when a letter was received from the Dargaville School Committee tenderir* their resignation nnd stating the creait balance in hand was inadequate to meet wages for cleaning to the end of the year. The financial statement forwarded showed outstanding accounts amounting to £ll7. A rate demand from the Borough Council for £39 was also sent. The credit balance at the bank was £6 13s. 6d.
