WARSHIPS VULNERABLE
TO NEW FORM OF ATTACK WIRELESSLY DIRECTED AND AERIAL TORPEDOES EFFECT ON' BUILDING PROGRAMMES (United Press Association. —By Elactrle Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) London, November 21. The “Daily Express” understands that recent naval experiments are causing anxiety to the Admiralty, especially the discharge of torpedoes from aeroplanes against battleships and cruisers, and also wirelessly directed torpedoes. It is revealed that warships are extremely vulnerable to the new form of attack, w’hlch is likely to necessitate extensive modifications in future building programmes. NAVAL LIMITATION . BRITAIN’S REPLIES TO AMERICA AND JAPAN (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, November 21. Mr. J. Locker-Lampson, Under-Secre-tarv for Foreign Affairs, stated in the House of Commons that replies to the Note of the United States Government regarding the limitation of naval armaments and to that of the Government of Japan would be dispatched shortly, and would be published as soon as they were in the hands of the Governments concerned.
