BOYS’ INSTITUTE
zAt the monthly meeting of the Boys’ Institute Management Committee the following members were present:— Mr. J. Hilson (in the chair). Mesdames J. Hislop, G. T. Bell, J. B. Christie, Messrs. G. E. Brown, C. S. Moore, L. T. Watkins, W. Ferguson, D. J. Dalglish, W. I. Gibson, J. A. Orr, aud the director. The director’s report stated that the work of the past month had been satisfactory, the band, orchestra, choir and gymnasium classes being well attended. The attendance for the pictures during the month amounted to 641 boys. zVrrangeinents are now in hand for a camp which it is hoped to hold nt Otaki from December 26 to January 5. If is intended to hold a Christmas party for the poorer children of the city, and any gifts either of money or toys fog the Christmas tree will be welcomed.
