ART GALLERY FUND CARNIVAL
4 APPEAL TO RATEPAYERS. Members of all ratepayers’ associations are asked by the president of the Civic League, Mr. J. M. Wallace, to do all they can to assure the success of the carnival in aid of tlie National Art Gallery and Museum Fund. This appeal is especially directed to the members of the committee. Mr. Wallace stated yesterday that some districts had not fully appreciated that final success rested upon the fullest combination of all. Melrose, a small district, had so far topped the list in the way of contributions. Their activities were still continuing. The ratepayers’ associations had a good opportunity to help in “Ye Okie London Towne Faire,” which will run in the Winter Show Buildings in conjunction with the League of Nations Pageant. There was a good working organisation in the various districts, and it was “up to” everyone to get right behind the movement and’ jush it forward. Sports Queen Joy Night.
