Air. A. Dudley Dobson, formerly city engineer of Christchurch, nnd Mrs. Dobson, met with an accident on Monday while motoring between Kirwee anil Darfleld (states a Press Association telegram). A back tire blew out, causing the car to turn over. The occupants were pinned down till assistance was rendered by neighbouring farmers. Mrs. Dobson was badly bruised, and suffered from shock. Air. Dobson was cut about the face and much shaken. He recently celebrated his eighty-seventh birthday.

The film which was taken of the Anzac Day celebrations in Sydney was exhibited at the Publicity Office kinema yesterday to members of the Wellington U.S.A, and their wives. Fifteen thousand old comrades marched past the Cenotaph, in memory of the 60,000 Australian soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice. A New Zealand detachment with a New Zealand flag also took part in the march past, and in the gathering on the Domain, where there were about 150,000 people assembled.

The trocas is sometimes called the “top shell” from its resemblance to a boy’s spinning top, nnd is found throughout the Afnlay Archipelago across the Pacific to Honolulu. An expert can tell at a glance whether a pheli comes from the Celebes, the Solomons. New Caledonia, or the Great Barrier Reef' of Queensland. Along this wonderful stretch of coral, the largest in the world. Australia possesses the most valuable of all trocas shell areas.
