CHARGE AGAINST LAND AGENT
SUPPRESSION OF NAME REFUSED On the application of Chief-Detective Ward a remand until November _2S was granted to James David Martin McIntyre, a land agent, aged 4G, who appeared before Mr. J. 11. Salmon, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday on a charge of failing to account to Wil liam McClelland for £43 15s. received from A. Nicholson, and fraudulently converting it to his own use, contrary to section 25. sub-section (a) of the Land Agents Act. Mr. 11. 11. Cornish, who appeared for Mclntyre, asked for bail, the ChiefDetective replying that he had no objection. He asked, however, that it might lie substantial, as other charges would be preferred against accused. Bail was allowed in accused's own recognisance for £2OO with one similar surety. Application for the suppression of accused's name was refused.
