MEETING OF WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION

The Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last night. A request was received from the Waikato Association for a match with (lie Wellington representatives on their return from Auckland. The matter was left in the hands of the senior championship committee, and it was decided to write to the Waikato Association asking what suggestion they would be prepared to make with regard to arrangements and costs.

The fixing of a date for the match with Otago, to be played in Wellington, was also left in the hands of the championship committee. It was decided to accept the Canterbury Association’s proposal for tbe alteration of the date of the Plunket Shield match from New Year's Day to December 31, it being considered that this arrangement would prevent the team spending a day idle.
