DISTRICT NOTIFICATIONS Cases of notifiable disease reported to the district health authorities for tlie week ended at noon yesterday total 57, this number representing a decrease of two when compared with the returns for tlie preceding seven days. In the Wanganui-Horowhenua subdistrict the total figures have advanced from 9 to Ki. chiefly due to a 100 per cent, increase in scarlet fever. The Wairarapa-llawke’s Bay area showed little movement, tlie number of eases dropping from 15 to 13, lint locally the total decrease was very much more pronounceil, 22 cases being notified as against 33 in the bulletin issued a week ago. Four eases were reported in tlie Nelson-Marlborough sub-district, a similar number being reported in that district for tlie previous week. Details of cases in tlie various hospital districts. the previous week’s figures being given in parentheses, are as follow :—
