MOTOR BOATING
Port Nicholson Club motor-boat members and their friends held a successful picnic to open the season’s cruising ou Sunday. About a hundred made the trip across to Ward Island in the following launches: Kereru, Atlanta, Marie, Ailsa Craig, Tawa, Seabird, Wainui, and Iris. Mr. F. Kiernan, the commodore, officially declared the club open and welcomed the visitors. Mr. H. Hardham replied on behalf of the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club.
