ACCIDENT YESTERDAY

LINESMAN FALLS IN KILBIRNIE TUNNEL. F. Harris, who lives at 24, Argentine Avenue, Miramar, a foreman-linesman employed by the tramways department, fell from a ladder iu the Kilbirnie tunnel about 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon, and fractured his skull and injured his back, lie was brought in a traincar to Courtenay Place, and from there he was taken to the hospital by the Free Ambulance. A labourer, A. Dias, of Townsend Road, Miramar, fell against a concrete wall in Eva Street, off Dixon Street, yesterday and received a wound on the scalp. He was taken to the hospital by the Free Ambulance, and after treatment there was removed to his home.

While climbing over a fence at Upper Hutt shortly before 7 o’clock last, night, W. Phillips, a carpenter, of the Provincial Hotel, Upper Hutt, fell and fractured his left leg. After being attended to by a doctor he was removed to the Public Hospital by the Free Ambulance.
