FIFTY-MILE RACE ON SYDNEY HARBOUR

The motor-boat reliability race at Rose Bay, over a course of fifty miles, for the De Chair Cup, was won by Miss Hall, whose boat maintained a speed of 26.6 miles an hour.

'Tlie race was full of sensations. Miss Hall lost a pin from tlie steering gear, but cleverly handled her boat and managed to find the winning mark line.

’Tlie Theodora took fire three times, lost an exhaust pipe, and ran out of petrol when in a good position. The skipper came in, replenished' the tank, and resumed tlie race, finishing third behind tlie outboarder 800 Sada.
