WRONG HISTORY PAPER
DISCUSSED BY RECESS COMMITTEE The position that has arisen at Auckland and Christchurch, where history paper “B” was distributed to students sitting for university degrees in mistake for history paper “A,” was discussed at a special meeting of the Recess Committee of the New Zealand University in Wellington on Saturday. What transpired at that meeting has not been made public, the Registrar of the University (Mr. E. T. Norris) stating yesterday morning that he had no statement to make.
The error, whicli was due to the papers being wrongly labelled, was detected before the issue of the papers at Wellington. It is understood that candidates in Wellington will take their paper “B” according to schedule. The decision reached by the committee will be conveyed to the supervisors at tlie centres concerned.
