Randall Davidson, Lord Archbishop of Canterbury, Primate of All England and Metropolitan on the occasion of his resignation. Lawrence Greer, formerly of Northcote, Auckland, has been appointed Anglican vicar of Norfolk Island. The funeral of the late Mr. John Danks took place at the Sydney Street cemetery on Friday afternoon. The services at the graveside- were conduct by the Rev. T. W. Vealie, of Trinity Church, Newtown, and for the Masonic\ Lodge by the Wor. Master D. McNaughton, of Lodge St. Andrew. The deceased, who had been in very poor health for the last two years, died on Wednesday night. He was a son of tlie late Mr. Samuel Danks, of the firm of Samuel Danks and Son, Brandon Street. The late Mr. Danks was a trustee of the Wellington Hospital Board and the Home for the Aged Needy for over 17 years, and was a life member of the Newtown Bowling Club. F? leaves a widow and three sons and two daughters—Mr. J. Danks, Palmerston North. Mr. S. Danks, Christchurch, ”r. F. H. Danks, Melbourne, and Mrs. A. B. Daniel. Wellington, and Mrs. P. D. Owen. Levin. The third son. William, was killed in France in 1916.
