SEAPLANE CARRIER
BUILT IN AUSTRALIA . Sydney, November 2. The seaplane carrier Albatross, of 1 6000 tons, launched recently at the Cockatoo Dock, is the first naval vessel built in Australia, since the war. She will undergo her trials next week. ’Planes will be catapulted or lowered to the surface of the water for a takeoff as circumstances require.- As the ship is of a different character .from ■anything hitherto built in the Commonwealth, many details of construction had to be worked out by the dockyard staff without the guidance of patterns.
