MANOR PARK CLUB On the Manor Park Club’s links last week-end, the final of both the senior and junior club championships was competed for. W. D. Cooke repeated his last year’s performance of winning the senior championship by defeating J. A. Ronald 7 and 5. Cooke, playing very well indeed, was 4 up after the first 18 holes, and gradually forged ahead to win as stated. Ronald showed good form, but was unable to compete with his opponent’s deadly work around the greens. In the junior final, H. J. C. Mehaffey succumbed to T. R. Herd, after a close game, by 2 and 1. To-morrow the club will play a match against Mornington on the Manor Park links. The Manor Park team is: Cooke, Ronald, Williams, Butler, Hendry, Pope, Chadwick, Herd, Mehaffey, Radford, Barnard, Pankhurst. Emergencies: Ogilvie, Sherwood, Green. Next Sunday a match will be played, manned men v. single men. The following will represent the single men: —Ronald, Williams, Hendry, Pope, Chadwick, Ogilvie, Green, Barr, Brockett, Dougins, McDonald, W. Hendry, Rodgers, H. Kirby, K. Otway. WELLINGTON GOLF CLUB Members are reminded that the mixed foursomes for the captain’s prize will be played by the Wellington Golf Club on Saturday, October 13. Players will choose - their own. partners and opponents. MISS KAY WINS SOUTH AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, October 11. In the South Auckland women’s golf championship final, Miss Kay (St. Clair) defeated Miss Acheson, 1 up. It was a very close contest. During the round Miss Acheson had the lead on several occasions, but not beyond 2 up. Miss Kay did not have the lead until the eighteenth, green, when she took the hole by laying a stymie.
