ACADEMY EXHIBITION
The annual exhibition of the Academy of Fine Arts, now open in the Whitmore Street gallery, continues to attract many visitors. Since publication of the previous . list the following works have found purchasers “Last Gleam—Hilltop,” and "Change of Wind —Hilltop,” by A. F. Nicoll. "Kanakas, by R. J. Waghorn, and “Afternoon, Wellington Harbour,” by Mrs. L. Stowe. The last-named artist la now In her ninety-first year. She has been a working member of the academy almostcontinuouslv since its foundation in 18S2, and it is remarkable that at her advanced, age she should still be able to submit work worthy of a place in the gallery. Ths annual exhibition will close on Saturday evening, with the drawing of the public art union. ■
