THE MANUKA
TRIP TO MELBOURNE ABANDONED
The Union Company announce that the Manuka, which was to have left Wellington yesterday for Melbourne, will pay off here to-day. The company’s action in abandoning the voyage has been occasioned by the uncertainty of labour conditions at Melbourne. Some of the passengers will proceed to Melbourne via Sydney by the Maheno, which will leave here on Friday. . '
