ANTONIO DELAYED. Advantage is being taken of the accident to the Antonio to overhaul the vessel completely at Auckland. On Saturday morning the broken propeller was unshipped, and the tailshaft sent ashore to be tested, in case it had been affected by the buffeting which damaged the screw. The engines are also being overhauled, and the vessel is not expected to bo ready for sea until to-morrow. She will next proceed to Lyttelton.

THE lONIC. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company s liner lonic is due at Port Chalmers to-mor-row morning from Auckland to continue loading. She will leave the Otago port on Thursday night for Lyttelton.

MAUNGANUI, FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company’s R.M.S. Maunganui arrived in the stream at Wellington at 6—o a.m. yesterday from Sydney. The vessel was granted pratique, but owing to a heavy northerly gale she was unable to berth until 12.25 p.m. at No. 1 south (outer tee), Queen’s Wharf. The Maunganui left Sydney at 5 p.m. bn Thursday, and as soon as she cleared the Port Jackson Heads the vessel experienced a north-westerly gale with a high following sea. On Saturday conditions improved considerably and continued .fine until early yesterday morning, when in Cook Strait, a northerly gale with high seas set in until arrival. The Maunganui is to sail from Wellington at 3 p.m. to-day for San Francisco, via Rarotonga and Papeete.

MANUKA TO PAY OFF. The Union Company advise that their intercolonial passenger steamer Manuka will pay off at Wellington to-day. The company’s action in abandoning the vessel s trip to Melbourne has been taken on account of the uncertainty of labour conditions at Melbourne.

MAHENO DELAYED. The Maheno, which left Sydney on Friday for Wellington, has reported by wireless that she now expects to arrive in the stream at 3 o’clock this afternoon. The vessel will later berth at No. 1 north, Queen’s Wharf. The Maheno is timed to leave here at noon on Friday on her return trip to Sydney.
