SUPPOSED MURDER
DEATH OF “WALK” MILLER
TWO BULLETS FOUND IN HEAD (Australian Press Association.) New York, September 18. At Eddyville, New York, an official investigation lias been begun into the death of “Walk” Miller, boxing manager for Billy Grime and others, whose body was found at “Walk Mill," his training camp, with bullets in the heart and head. The police stated at first that the cause of death was suicide, due to worry caused by recent financial reverses. Miller had been known for years as manager of successful fighters, and seemed recently to meet a streak of the poorest luck, suffering many defeats. An investigation was ordered, following the announcement by physicians that there were two bullets in Miller’s head, eitliec one of which was sufficient to cause death before the other shot was fired. The friends of Miller are unable to advance any reason for the presumed murder. They declare that Miller was well known and popular. DEATHS OF BOYS ON A RANCH (United Service.) A search is now being made for Gordon Stewart Northcott, 22, and his mother, Louise Northcott, against whom charges of murder will be laid. Cyrus Northcott, father of Gordon, corroborated Clark's story, and referred to a fifth youth done to death.
