INSULT TO MR. SASTRI
GENERAL HERTZOG SENDS APOLOGY (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) Cape Town, September 18. In conneelion witli the Klerksdorp Incident, in whicli at a Mayoral banquet to Mr. S. V. Sastri, Agent-General for India, insults were offered to the distinguished guest and a stink bomb thrown, the Premier, General Hertzog. telegraphed to Mr. Sastri his heartfelt apologies for the “unwarrantable insult to you and your country." He con deinns the “cowardly conduct of these hooligans.”
