HANDSOME CONTRIBUTION
MR. SIDEY DONATES £lOOO TO CHURCH FUND By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, September 6. At a novelty- fair held to-day to assist the fund for the erection of the new Caversham Presbyterian Church, the pastor, Rev. R. Ferguson Fish, read a letter from Mr. T. K. Sidey, M.P., stating that in his opinion the time had arrived for him to fulfil his promise to make a donation of £lOOO. for which sum he enclosed a cheque. The Mayor (Mr. W. B. Taverner) congratulated the church on receiving such a handsome contribution, which would go a long way towards building a new hall.
