WORLD’S COTTON
DECREASED CONSUMPTION LAST YEAR (Australian Dress Association.) London, September 5. The executive of the Cotton Spinners and Manufacturers’ Association’s report for the year ended July 31 states that the world’s cotton consumption was 25.5-10.000 bales, a decrease of 311.000 compared with lhe previous year. The United States (3,150,000 bales) was the chief consumer, and Britain next with 1,393,000.
