BRITAIN’S MOTOR TRADE
OUTPUT MAINTAIN ED. Sir P. Cunliffe-Lister, the President of the Board of Trade, in the House of Commons recently, said that the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders estimated that the 1927 output was beiug maintained, and that there would be an increase in the production of commercial cars. The output of private aud commercial cars during recent vears was as follows: — Year. Private. Commercial. 1924 .... 105,500 26.500 1925 .... 12J,000 32,000 1926 .... 138,500 41,500 1927 .... 157.000 52,000 The motor manufacturer, added Sir Philip, was devoting his attention to the small-powered cars, of which he expected to have an enormous sale.
