SOUTHERN HAWKE’S BAY FARMERS’ UNION
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dannevirke, September 6. ,At a meeting of the Southern Hawke’s Bay Farmers’ Union to-day; Mr. IT. B. Stuckey suggested that residents of the Dominion should have the same facilities for sending cases of tipples to friends or relatives in the Old Country on the same system as lamb and butter could be forwarded. New Zealand apples were the best on the English market to-day. It was decided to forward the suggestion to the Dominion executive to look into. The question of the time ( between wool sales in New Zealand was also discussed. It was decided to write to the Dominion executive with a view to securing the co-operation of the provincial executives to get the time between sales extended to facilitate a thorough inspection by buyers.
