RUN OVER BY LORRY

WOMAN KILLED ON HUTT ROAD RESULT OF A COLLISION I Miss May Eyres, middle-aged, residing at 22 Queen Street, Petone, and employed at the Wellington Woollen Mills as a spinner, was run over by a heavilyladen motor-lorry on the Hutt Road shortly after 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon, and died as the result of her injuries. Riding her bicycle out of the ’Wellington Woollen Mills grounds near Petone she collided with the front wheel .of the lorry, which was travelling slowly from Wellington. She was thrown on to tlie road and a rear wheel of the lorry passed over her. The vehicle was driven by Francis Patrick Kelly, who was employed by the Geange Kelly Carrier Coihpany, Upper Hutt. The Free Ambulance received the call at 5.23 p.m., but life was extinct before the car arrived. An inquest will be held.
