REIGN OF BLOOD
FEARED BY AMERICANS IN MEXICO RESULT OF OBREGON’S ASSASSINATION (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) Mexico City, August 2. . Americans here fear a reign of blood, with terrible reprisals, before the Obregon assassination is expiated. The At-torney-General, Senor Nieto, in a formal statement, asserts that Jose Toral. Obregon’s assassin, belonged to an organisation led by the Abbess Maria Conception. - “I’m convinced,” declares Senor Nieto, “that this group of individuals, who, directly or indirectly, participated in General Obregon’s murder, I,elonged to the terrorist organisation headed by none other than the Abbess Maria, an intelligent woman, who has been trying to mislead justice. This organisation resembles the Russian Nihilists and some Italian associations formed to attempt the life of Signor Mussolini.”
