AVellington where she is due ou the following Thursday. THE AVAIPORI 3IARU. A Japanese captain, officers and crew for the AVuipori Jlaru, reached Auckland from Sydney by the Maheno on Tuesday. The AVaipori Jlaru is at the AVestern wharf, and is to sail this week for Newcastle, to load coal for Jlanila. Under her new owners, the steamer will be engaged in tho’ coal trade between Newcastle and the East. TASMANIA AT LONDON. Cabled news has been received by the Federal Company that the Tasmania arrived at London on AVedncsday morning from Napier.' The vessel left Napier on June 13, in the evening,' for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain. ANTINOUS BRINGS BITUMEN. The G. H. Scales Co., Ltd., have been notified by cable that the Bank Line chartered steamer Antinous left laminco (Mexico) on July 21 with a cargo of bitumen to discharge at Auckland, New 1 Jymouth. The Union Company has received wireless advice that rhe Kaiapoi from Newcastle will arrive at New Plymouth to-<lay. The vessel later will proceed to 1 icton and Napier to complete discharge. NORTH CAPE LIGHT. It is expected that the erection oi the light on the summit, of the. small peaked islet (Mnrlmoto) lying, close eastward ot the North Cape (Otau) will be completed in December. The AVairuna will leave Ocean Falls, 8.C., on August 6 for San Francisco, where she is due on August 10. She will proceed thence to Los Angeles to complete loading for Papeete, Auckland, Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth, and clear Los Angeles on August 15. The AValotapu left Suva on July 22, is due at A'ancouver on August 13, and will complete loading.at San Francisco and Los Angeles for AVellington, Jfelbonrne, ami Sydney. The following General Harbour Regulatlons were gazetted last nignt:—- (1) 3.lic owner or master of every vessel which may. between sunset and sunrise, lie alongside any other vessel moored at any wharf shall, during such period, exhibit from his vessel a bright white light so placed as to show a clear and unbroken light around the off-side of his vessel from right ahead to right astern. (2) If sucn owner or master fails or neglects to comply with these regulations he shall be liable to a fine of £100.” MAUNGANUI ARRIVES. The Union Company’s R. 51.5. Maunganui arrived in the stream at AVellington about 7 o’clock last night from San Francisco. The Port ’health officer and Customs officials boarded the ship, which did not anchor, and as soon as pratique was granted she berthed at 8.10 p.m. at No. 1 south (outer tee), Queen’s AVharf. The Maunganui left San Francisco at 2 p.m. on July 11, and had moderate to tine weather on the run to Papeete. A day before arrival at Papeete the port main shaft slipped in the web and put the port propeller out of action. The Ta’hitlan port was reached at 6 p.m. on July 21. Temporary repairs were effected and the vessel sailed again at 4 pm on July 22. Fine weather prevailed until arrival at Rarotonga at 2 p.m. on July 24 After loading fruit the Maunganui, sailed again at 3 p.m. on July 25. After the temporary repairs gave way a couple of times, further attempts to get the port shaft working were abandoned, and the ship came on under reduced speed. Moderate winds with a slight sea prevailed until arrival at AVellington. In addition to general cargo from San Francisco, the Maunganui brought 12,000 cases of bananas, oranges, and tomatoes • from Rarotonga. The Maunganui will remain at AA’ellington for repairs, and all her Australian passengers and cargo will be transhipped from here to Sydney. MISCELLANEOUS. The Borderer arrived at Dunedin at 1 p.m. yesterday from Lyttelton to complete discharge of her New York cargo. Tho vessel will leave Dunedin to-morrow afternoon for Newcastle. The Taranaki arrived at Napier at 8 a.m. yesterday from AVellington. She will leave Napier to-morrow for Auckland. The Port Bowen left Wellington shortly after 5 o’clock last evening for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge of her New York cargo. The Port Huon Is to sail from New Plymouth this afternoon for Wanganui roadstead to proceed with her loading. The liner Rotorua is to leave Bluff this afternoon for Timaru to proceed with her Homeward loading. The Kalmai is bar-bound at Greymouth and is not expected to leave there until today for AVellington. Tlie AVaiplata, from the south, is due here to-day and will go on to Auckland. The Totara will leave Timaru to-day for Lyttelton, AA’ellington, and New Plymouth. The Katoa will leave Dunedin to-day for Bluff, returning to Dunedin, Tlmarn, AA’ellington, and Auckland. The Opihl is due here to-day from Dunedin and Timaru, and will leave to-mor-row for AVestport. The Kamona is to leave Greymouth tomorrow for Miramar and AA’ellington. The Karetu is now due here ou Sunday from Port Craig, and will leave on Monday for Sydney.

The Corinna is due here on Sunday from New Plymouth, and will leave on Monday for Dunodiu.

The Kahika will now leave here to-day for Napier and Gisborne. From Binfl’, via ports, the Calm is now duo here to-morrow and will go on to Wanganui. ThexStorm will leave Dunedin to-day for Wellington, and Wanganui, and is due here on Tuesday.
